In James Taylor’s song he says “you just call out my name and you know wherever I am I’ll come running!” We’ve all had friends who were there for us but we have a who is even greater, Jesus.
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
When your life might seem upside down He can bring peace to your life.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Some friends may run off when things get rough, but Jesus has told us he will never leave us or forsake us.
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Jesus will be that friend if you will allow him. All that you need to do is:
Hear his word – Romans 10:17
17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Believe in him – John 8:24
24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.
Repent of you sins – Acts 2:38
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Confess your belief that Jesus is the Son of God – Romans 10:10
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Be Baptized – Acts 2:41
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
